Trust badges that actually work: turning video reviews into achievement badges
A trust badge is only worth something if it is earned and verifiable. How Reeltic achievement badges are computed, which ones exist, and where to place them for the biggest lift.

Trust badges are everywhere: "Top Rated," "Best of 2026," "Verified." Most are decorative. Visitors have learned to ignore a badge that anyone can paste on a page. The badges that still work share two properties: they are earned by a rule and they link to the evidence.
That is how Reeltic achievement badges are built.
How badges are earned
Badges are computed purely from your review aggregates. No application, no fee, no manual judging. When your numbers cross a threshold, the badge appears; if they fall below, it goes.
| Badge | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Highly Rated | 4.0+ average from at least 5 verified reviews |
| Top Rated | 4.5+ average from at least 10 verified reviews |
| Loved by Customers | 4.8+ average from at least 20 verified reviews |
| 10+ Video Reviews | 10 published video reviews |
| 50+ Video Reviews | 50 published video reviews |
| 100+ Video Reviews | 100 published video reviews |
| Rising | 5 or more reviews in the recent window |
| Verified Business | Granted by Reeltic after identity checks |
Every badge links back to your public profile where the actual reviews live. A visitor can click "Top Rated" and watch the fifty people who made it true.
Why earned badges outperform stickers
- They are checkable. The link resolves to real, verified, dated video reviews.
- They change. A badge that could be lost is a badge that means something.
- They stack. Three earned badges in a row reads as a track record, not a claim.
- They are consistent. Every business on the platform earns them the same way, which is what makes "Top Rated" comparable across businesses.
Where to place them
Badges are small, so they can go where a full widget cannot:
- Next to the primary call to action. "Book now" with a Top Rated badge beside it.
- In the header or footer. Site-wide, low-key, always visible.
- On the checkout page. The last-second reassurance.
- In email signatures and proposals. Export the SVG and drop it in.
- On print. The badge SVGs scale to any size for menus, flyers and shop windows.
The badge widget
The lightweight badge script renders your rating, review count and earned badges in a single row or stack, all linking to your profile:
<script async src="https://cdn.reeltic.com/badge.js"
data-slug="your-business"
data-layout="row"
data-theme="light"></script>Choose row or stack and a light or dark theme to suit your page. If you want the videos themselves, use the full video review widget instead; the two can sit on different pages.
Notifications when you earn one
When your business crosses a threshold, the owner gets an in-app notification and an email. Share the moment: a "we just earned Top Rated" post with the badge is one of the easiest social posts you will ever write.
The Verified Business badge
Unlike the others, Verified is granted by Reeltic rather than computed. It confirms that the business exists, is operated by the account holder and matches its listing. There is no fee. If you would like to be verified, contact us from the email on your account with a link to your profile.
Getting your first badge
Highly Rated needs five reviews at a 4.0 average. For most businesses that is one good week of asking. See how to ask customers for video reviews, or list your business free and start collecting.
